Safety Valve Testing and Certification
A sticky control valve can wreck temperature control. A safety valve that has drifted off set pressure can stop an insurance inspection in its tracks. Warden Engineering Ltd provides valve servicing, valve overhaul, valve repair, valve testing, valve certification and valve recalibration for industrial sites across the UK. Some jobs are best handled in the workshop. Others need on-site valve services with the system close by. Preventing Valve failures
A valve that keeps leaking is rarely fixed by tightening it again. It needs stripping, inspection, and the right parts in the right places. That might mean replacing packing and seals. It might mean lapping seats. It might mean addressing wear in the trim, or a stem that is no longer true.
We offer workshop valve services and valve fitting and testing on site, so you are not stuck choosing between speed and quality. If you have a shutdown window, we plan around it. If you have an urgent issue, we can prioritise the turnaround.
Safety valve service, calibration and certification
Safety valves are not the place for guesswork. When a safety valve lifts, it needs to lift cleanly, reseat properly, and hold tight. When it is set, it needs to be set to the correct pressure, not “near enough”. Our safety valve service covers

Testing is carried out with lift and seat tightness testing, using the appropriate medium for the valve and the application. That includes nitrogen testing, gas testing, water testing and air testing, carried out in-house and on-site where needed.
Control valve overhaul & repair
When a control valve is worn, it shows up as inconsistent control, hunting, poor shut-off, or slow response. You might see it as temperature swings, pressure instability, or a line that never quite settles.
Our control valve overhaul work includes control valve repair, control valve servicing, control valve recalibration and control valve testing. If required, we carry out a full control valve body overhaul, plus control valve trim repair and work on control valve internals.
This is where details matter. A tired seat and plug, damaged trim, or sticky actuator linkage can waste energy and time. We treat control valves like the precision components they are.
Is the valve fine, but the actuator is not?
A lot of “valve faults” are actuator faults. Air issues, worn diaphragms, sticking positioners, failing feedback, sluggish springs. You can rebuild the valve perfectly and still have a problem if the actuator is drifting. We support:

Pressure reducing valves cause headaches when they start passing, chattering, or failing to hold downstream pressure. They also sit right in the area where safety, efficiency, and plant stability overlap. We provide:

Globe, ball, butterfly and check valve
The “everyday” valves are often the reason a plant room becomes unreliable. A passing isolation valve makes maintenance harder. A leaking flange valve creates constant hot spots. A failed non-return valve can cause backflow and damage pumps.
We support globe valve servicing, including angle globe valves, packed globe valves, and bellows seal globe valves. We also repair and supply ball valves, butterfly valves (including actuated butterfly valves), plus check valves, non-return valves, gate valves, and isolation valves.
Whether it is a manual and actuated valve repair, a replacement decision, or a modification to suit access, we keep it practical and serviceable.
Boiler, blowdown and TDS valves
Boiler house valves do a tough job. Blowdown lines see harsh conditions. TDS control valves cycle. Feed water valves sit in the middle of a system that never really gets a rest. We work on:

If you want valves handled end-to-end, we can arrange valve collection service and manage the full collect, overhaul and return process. A typical workshop overhaul includes:
- Strip, inspect, blast and rebuild
- Lapping heads and seats to restore sealing surfaces
- Machining valve heads where required
- Pressure testing after overhaul
- Repainting and tagging, so it is clear what has been done and what it is
